Yakima in real life
Yakima is a city where grandad Shay lives, which is about 110 miles (178 km) southeast of Seattle. According to Carly and Spencer's grandfather, it takes about 90 minutes to drive from Yakima to Carly's home in Seattle.
In iWas a Pageant Girl, one of the Miss Teen Seattle Beauty Pageant contestants stated that she is from Yakima. In iWanna Stay With Spencer, Carly's granddad tried to get Carly to move in with him. The "Wake Up Spencer" segments are usually filmed when Carly is in Yakima. Spencer and Carly think it sounds like someone "throwing up" (vomiting).
In iBalls, Carly goes to Yakima to help take care of Granddad Shay.
