Titanic is a 1997 romantic, disaster film, that has been mentioned several times in iCarly (2021).
It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson and Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater, the protagonists, as well as Billy Zane as Caledon "Cal" Hockley, the main antagonist.
A 3-D version of Titanic was released in theatres on April 4th, 2012 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking disaster event.

In the original show's episode iGot a Hot Room, while the film was not mentioned, it was referenced in the sense that Spencer spent 3 hours and 14 minutes making a gummy bear lamp for Carly's birthday, which was how long it took for the real life Titanic to sink, and the length of the film.

The film is first referenced in the season 1 episode iGot Your Back, when Harper tells Carly "I'll never let go Carly, I'll never let go", which references Rose telling Jack the same line when they are in the frozen water. It is then mentioned in the episode iTake a Girls' Trip, when Spencer falls for Harper's cousin Maeve. He builds a small replica of the scene where Jack and Rose are on the edge of the ship and she says "I'm flying". Spencer later wants to draw Maeve like Jack did with Rose, which she calls her titanic fantasy, to which Harper questions if they know how the movie ends. The replica is seen again in iThrow a Flawless Dinner Party, when Spencer and Maeve break up.

In the season 3 episode, iMake New Memories, when Carly and Freddie admit their feelings for each other, a part of what sounds like "My Heart Will Go On" is played when Carly tells Freddie "Since I never actually said it...and you deserve to hear it", about her feelings for him.
The film is later referenced in iCause A Cat-Astrophe, several times. Harper's girlfriend Tinsley, has a jewellery piece that Harper thinks looks like the Heart of the Ocean necklace Rose receives in the film, and Tinsley says it is the exact one. Later in the episode, at the Seattle Cat Museum, during a distraction, Spencer calls one of the cats Leonardo DiCats Meow, a direct reference to Leonardo DiCaprio, who played Jack Dawson in the film.

- It is Maeve's favourite film and she describes being drawn like one of "the French girls", as a fantasy.
- According to Tinsley in iCause A Cat-Astrophe, she owns the real necklace that was used in the film.
- If one listens closely in iMake New Memories, when Carly tells Freddie "since I never actually said it...and you deserve to hear it" about her feelings for him, the tune sounds similar to the love theme from Titanic, called "My Heart Will Go On".
- There actually were multiple movies based on the sinking of the ship before the 1997 film. The very first one was titled "Saved From Titanic", which starred a woman who actually survived the sinking.[1]
- In the film, the ship was named "The Ship of Dreams". Whether it was called this in real life is unknown.
- There were characters based on/named after passengers of the real life voyage - such as Margret Brown, who survived the sinking, the designer of the ship, named Thomas Andrews, and Edward John Smith who was the captain - both of which did not survive the sinking.[2] Jack and Rose were fictional characters who were created for the film only.[3]
- The film was indirectly referenced in the original series' episode iGot a Hot Room. Spencer spent 3 hours and 14 minutes making a lamp for Carly, which is the length of the film and how long it took for the real life ship to sink to the bottom of the ocean.
