iMake New Memories is the third episode of season 3 of iCarly (2021), and the 26th episode overall. It premiered on June 8, 2023.
Synopsis[]
"When Spencer accidentally destroys Carly's hard drive full of her childhood memories, Freddie agrees to recreate them in an attempt to repair their friendship. Millicent recruits Harper for a fashion emergency regarding Mrs. Benson's upcoming event."

Plot[]
The episode starts with Carly and Freddie finishing up an episode of iCarly and Spencer asks Carly how she is doing due to her growing feelings for Freddie. Carly tries to hide her sadness that Freddie told her they need to be friends, as he has just gone through a break up a few days ago, despite Freddie flirting with Carly. Spencer shows Carly and Freddie his new sculpture which he calls Memory Lane but it explodes, which makes Carly's phone break. She realises she has a backup device, but Spencer used it on his sculpture. Freddie tells Carly they can recreate the memories with Spencer's help. Carly has a list of all the moments she wants to recreate with Freddie, but is worried that recreating them will not stop her from making out with him.

Spencer says Carly needs to recreate the most disgusting memories to not tempt her from kissing Freddie. Spencer temporally turns Shay What back into The Groovy Smoothie to recreate the time Carly worked there. The song Meant For Me plays in the background and Carly and Freddie recognise it from the time they danced to the song after the failed school dance. Freddie nervously asks Carly to dance and they almost kiss until Spencer comes in and pulls them apart.
Carly is scared that Freddie won't feel the same way she does about him if she tells him how he feels, but decides to recreate the time he visited her in Italy. Freddie however, is mad that Carly recreated "the worst night of his life" - Freddie was going to ask Carly to be his girlfriend but she laughed at the idea of them being a couple, back then. The two fight about their past and Freddie angrily leaves, leaving Carly in tears and Spencer comforts her.

The following day, Carly attempts to drown her stress in knitting, while crying, as she contemplates what to do next about Freddie. Harper once again insists that Carly tell Freddie the truth about she feels about him. Carly is still afraid but realises that Freddie was unaware of her true intentions for recreating the night in Italy.
Later that night, Freddie comes into Spencer's apartment and finds comfort in Spencer. Freddie, crying, tells Spencer he was mad at Carly because he was so stuck in the past when she rejected him and feels great shame for letting his anger get the better of him when he loves being Carly's friend. Spencer tells Freddie Carly is freaked out their friendship is ruined and left a note for him in the studio.
Carly and Freddie finally become a real couple.
Freddie runs upstairs to find Carly standing by the arch and the pictures restored by Socko's cousin, Gizmo. Carly tells Freddie he deserves to know how she feels about him, but is scared in case she is rejected. Freddie grabs her hand and tells her she can do it. Carly, crying, tells Freddie she likes him and that she wants to be with him. Freddie reveals he reciprocates her feelings and that their friendship is not a consolation prize, but is afraid of losing her. Carly tells Freddie that no matter what, he will never lose her. Overwelled with emotion, Freddie asks Carly if they really are going to finally be together and she replies with "I hope so. It took us long enough", referencing it being years since their previous relationship. The two share a kiss and finally become a real couple and get back together as they share a very passionate, second kiss.
In the final scene, everyone is hanging out in the iCarly studio where Spencer says how great the "event" was and jokes about tricking Freddie into believing Carly doesn't like him. Carly and Freddie happily kiss again, much to Millicent and Spencer's dismay while Harper is happy for the new couple. Mrs Benson tells Carly and Freddie not to listen to Millicent and Spencer and they can all be "naughty girls together", much to Carly and Freddie's disgust and she tells him she doesn't want to kiss anymore, ending the episode.
Subplot[]
Meanwhile, Millicent asks for Harper's help with Marissa's wedding dress. Marissa has brought a brown dress that has "naughty girl" on it and Harper hates it so daws up a new one for Marissa who has decided against it after Freddie has seen it. Marissa asks Harper to design her dress which Harper agrees to do.

- A clip was released of Carly and Freddie dancing to Meant For Me the day before the episode was released.
- Nathan said he cried reading the script for this episode.
- Carly and Freddie mention that he visited her in Italy and was going to ask her to be his girlfriend.
- Carly and Freddie kiss 3 times.
- Carly and Freddie finally start dating for real and get back together since iSaved Your Life.
- Only time this season that Marissa appears without Lewbert.
- Sam appears in some of the old photos Carly included. This is the first mention/reference of her in the revival since iCan Fix it Myself.

- The passing of Queen Elizabeth II, which occurred in September 2022, is mentioned, as well as her son Charles III becoming king.
- This is the first time in the revival that Freddie says his catchphrase outside of the webshow. He says it when kisses Carly for the second time and only says "5,4" - as Carly kisses him before he can even get to 3 - unlike the other times when he would usually go down to 2.
- This is the first episode this season to feature a live stream of iCarly.

- Nevel Papperman is mentioned for the first time since he appeared in the first season. He appears two episodes later, in iFaked It.
- Nathan actually fell by accident and did it purposely a couple of times after, but everyone found the accidental fall much funnier so they kept it in.[3]
- The Pear Store is mentioned for the first time in the revival.
- The scene where Millicent walks into Harper doing a tik-tok and Harper falls wasn't scripted. Laci Mosley genuinely fell.[4]
- This is the first time Carly actually admits to Freddie she likes him.
- Freddie asking Carly "Is this really happening?" is a a reference to the fact that he has been in love with her since they were kids.
- This episode takes place in late February/very early March.
- This is one of the many times both Carly and Freddie are seen crying. They both cry after their fight and when they are confessing their feelings for each other.

- On the arch, there are several behind the scenes photos, such as Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett from this episode, Nathan Kress and Miranda Cosgrove from behind the scenes of iGuess Everyone Just Hates Me Now and a behind the scenes photo of Nathan and Miranda in iSaved Your Life, and several other episodes across both shows.
- This was the only episode where behind the scenes photos were not released before the season premiered. This was likely not to spoil any of the scenes, especially Carly and Freddie's kiss scene.
- There was a bit that was cut in the final scene, where Freddie and Spencer high-five, presumably that Spencer is congratulating Freddie on "finally getting the girl".
Allusions[]
- Millicent telling Harper that of all the time she has known her she never knocks, might be a reference to the show Friends, when the main characters always kept their doors unlocked and they walked into each other's apartments.
- Freddie saying Excelsior may be a reference to Marvel creator Stan Lee, who used that term as a catchphrase.
- If one listens closely, when Carly tells Freddie "since I never actually said it...and you deserve to hear it" about her liking him, a tune that sounds like the love theme, "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic, can be heard.

The notepad changes to a piece of paper.
- When Spencer is reading Carly's list of the memories she wants to recreate, he reads them off of a notebook, but by the end of the scene, Spencer is holding a piece of paper instead of the little notebook.
- Carly says her photos of iCarly are from the last 15 years but they started in 2007, which was 16 years ago. However, it might mean that they started doing the show in September of 2007 - when the pilot episode premiered - and this episode takes place in late February/early March, so it would still technically be 15 years in that sense.
