— Official Paramount+ Synopsis
Plot[]
The episode opens with Spencer on video chat, seemingly with Carly, until she walks though the door. Confused, they point to each other and Carly is worried she doesn't know who she is so texts Freddie to come and help her and Spencer. Freddie tells them that someone has created a deepfake of Carly to make her look bad and look like she is selling food called Tastes Famiglia, that is making people sick.
In Shay What?!, Spencer, Freddie, Millicent and Carly find out that "Carly" is selling a product that is making people vomit including someone who live streams tasting her food. Carly later decides to go live on iCarly to try to find who is behind the situation. Deepfake Carly joins the stream and reveals embarrassing secrets about the real Carly - not before Freddie thinks he can take this as a chance to tell his real and fake girlfriend apart - and for Spencer to say hi to his "fister".
Carly discusses with Freddie and Spencer about who could do such a thing to her as she thinks lots of people like her. Freddie and Spencer mention all the people who dislike Carly - Wade Collins, Griffin, Kyoko and Yuki, Ms. Briggs, the Pet-ogrophers and even Carly's exes Beau and Wes. Carly points out that the scheme is too elaborate and evil for one those people to pull it off, which leads to everyone realising Nevel Papperman is behind the operation.
Carly, Freddie and Spencer all confront Nevel and his wife Prunella at their lair, where the couple admit they created the deepfake as a way to get back at Carly for never getting them a wedding gift within the year of their marriage. Carly agrees to get them a gift if it means they will leave her alone, but Nevel doesn't give up so easily.
Back at Spencer's apartment, Carly gathers Spencer, Freddie, Harper and Millicent to help her get revenge on Nevel. Carly suggests sneaking into Nevel's lair and asks where they can dispose his body in a landfill. Freddie tells Carly they do not need to do an actual murder but they can get inside Nevel and Prunella's heads. Spencer and Carly - with Freddie's help - deepfake themselves to look like Nevel and Prunella to get them to admit they deepfaked Carly. Nevel agrees to stop if Carly does and Prunella almost leaves Nevel as she believes messing with Carly was all they had as a couple. However, Prunella changes her mind and stays with Nevel.
Subplot[]
Meanwhile, Tinsley invites her best friend from college, Dimitri, to introduce her to Harper, but Harper starts to feel uncomfortable around Dimitri as he can be quite patronising and rude. Dimitri warns Harper to leave Tinsley alone so he can spend time with her alone and Harper tells him she is her girlfriend. A couple of days later in Harper's apartment, Tinsley invites Dimitri around again, much to Harper's annoyance and they find out he was trying to poison Harper with the product Nevel is trying to sell as Carly. Horrified, Tinsley tells Dimitri that she never found him funny, ending their friendship, and Harper kicks him out. Tinsley apologises for not believing Harper and they spend time alone in the apartment.

Quotes[]
Carly: Game over, bitch! (Millicent looks scared) Ohh I'm sorry Millicent. That wasn't to you. |
Freddie: Okay honey, I'm gonna stop you right there. |
Carly: Guys, Deepfake Carly wants to join my live. |
Prunella: I seem to remember one very handsome blond bombshell who proved to be quite agile at the limbo. Nevel: [moves his hips] It's in the hips. [Carly and Freddie look disgusted] |
Carly: Wait. Let me get this straight. So you manufactured a toxic vegan product, plastered my face all over it and then deepfaked me to get my brother to sell it, all because you had to buy your own freakin' KitchenAid? |
Harper: So Dimitri-Pascual. Two first names. There must be a story there. Dimitri-Pascual: The story is...I'm gonna kill you. The end! Harper: [chuckles nervously] Seems a little light in the middle. You're kidding right? Dimitri-Pascual: I'm not. |
Harper: [to Dimitri-Pascual, referring to Tinsley] Well, she's a rich bitch in love. Rejection! Look it up you dumb whore. [slams the door] |
Tinsley: Who's gonna call me a gassy little troll, now? |
[Freddie walks into Spencer's apartment and walks over to Carly] |
Spencer: [to Carly] I just hope this doesn't effect the new product you had me stock up on. Freddie: [singing] D is for your doppelganger, up in hyperspace- Carly: [to Freddie, smiling] Babe, I love you, but shut up. [turns to Spencer] What new product? [Cut to Shay What?!] Spencer: [holding Tastes Famiglia] This new product! Tastes Famiglia! "The best pasta dish alternative, you've never tried!" Carly: I never posed for this, but is that what I look like when I shoosh people? Spencer: No it's more like [imitating Carly] "Be quiet, eh!" Freddie: [to Spencer, laughing] That was spot on! [Carly gives Freddie a look] Not! |
Carly: Someone is using fake me to sell fake meat. This is a crime. Spencer: Maybe we should call the cops? Freddie: Yeah. Carly: [laughs, then notices Freddie and Spencer's reactions.] Oh, you're being serious? Freddie: Of course he is. |
