Trivia [ ]
The season was announced on July 15, 2021, the day the Season 1 episode iNeed Space was released.
Miranda Cosgrove wanted to see Mrs. Benson be in more episodes, along with Lewbert Sline and T-Bo .[19]
Both Mrs. Benson and Lewbert appear in iObject, Lewbert!
Despite the Groovy Smoothie reappearing in this season, T-Bo has yet to appear in the revival series.
Filming of Season 2 was halfway done by November 12, 2021.[20]
Josh Peck, who starred alongside Miranda Cosgrove in Drake & Josh , guest starred in this season in the episode iBuild a Team which is directed by Nathan Kress.[21]
It was later revealed by Nathan Kress in an interview that Josh Peck would appear in two episodes this season.
Nathan Kress revealed that he would direct an episode of Season 2 in December 2021.[22]
Miranda Cosgrove revealed on February 3, 2022 that the season had finished filming the day before.[5]
Carly and Freddie would confront their "unresolved" romantic feelings in this season.[23]
Paramount+ later promoted this season with "Creddie forever", implying this is a big season for them.[24]
The Groovy Smoothie returns this season.[6]
There were originally going to be 13 episodes like in Season 1, but it was cut down to 10 for unknown reasons.
This season aired episodes on Fridays instead of Thursdays.
Writer Jacques Mouledoux was promoted to script coordinator for Season 2.[25]
This is the first season where Guppy appears without Gibby .
This is because Noah Munck (the actor who portrayed Gibby in the original series) chose not to join the revival.
In a similar fashion to Season 1's three-episode premiere, this season had a two-episode premiere.
Season 3 then follows this season with a two-episode premiere.
The Groovy Smoothie is refurbished and renamed/replaced by "Shay What?! "
A new title sequence is used this season.
The finale features Freddie 's birthday.
The season ends on a cliff-hanger like Season 1.
Sam isn't mentioned at all this season.
